On Saturday October 14th, approximately 10:30AM - 1:30 PM, there will be a annular solar eclipse visible in our area. At maximum eclipse (roughly 11:55 AM) about 50% of the sun will be blocked by the moon.
If you intend on viewing this partial eclipse please be sure to protect your eyes.
“When watching an annular eclipse directly with your eyes, you must look through safe solar viewing glasses (“eclipse glasses”) or a safe handheld solar viewer at all times. Eclipse glasses are not regular sunglasses – no matter how dark, sunglasses are not safe for viewing the Sun.” - NASA
